2011 Robert Hampton Scholarship Award Recipients
John Gardner
John Gardner is currently a senior at Lander University majoring in physical education. He has a 3.84 GPA. He has the following honors to his credit: Who's Who among High School Students, Palmetto Boys State, Life Scholarship, Lander Scholarship, and the Alice Smith Spencer Scholarship.
John has been active in the community as an announcer for the Emerald High School Softball Team, a football/basketball camp assistant for King's Academy, assistant football coach/statistician King's Academy and a relay for life volunteer.
John has been a member of the department of Physical Education and Exercise Studies student club for two years and has been a SCAHPERD Future Professional for two years. John has strong leadership qualities, a successful scholarship record, and a professional involvement and demeanor.
