The difference between PEIs and Data Collection Training
PEIs: Physical Education Institutes
PEIs are teacher development workshops intended to help teachers improve their physical education program and teach to the standards. Teachers from any cycle may attend any or all PEIs offered for their level any year.
Data Collection Training
(or Assessment Training)
Data Collection Training are workshops geared for teachers being assessed the next school year. These sessions will deal with how to develop an assessment plan, how to assess the students, what forms to fill out and submit, how to video, etc. Teachers in the cycle to be assessed the next year are invited to attend one of the training sessions being offered for their level that year.
